“A class Etiquette policy”

Dear all my students,

I want all of you to learn an important life style to follow from now to all your future.

I advice you to know that “Etiquette in technology governs what conduct is socially acceptable in an online or digital situation. The rules of etiquette that apply when communicating over the Internet or social networks or devices are different from those applying when communicating in person or by audio.

As well, I want you to learn that “Netiquette” covers not only rules of behavior during discussions but also guidelines that reflect the unique electronic nature of the medium. Netiquette usually is enforced by fellow users who are quick to point out infractions of netiquette rules.

At school, communicating with others via the Internet without misunderstandings in the heat of the moment can be challenging, mainly because facial expressions and body language cannot be interpreted on cyberspace. Therefore, several recommendations to attempt to safeguard against these misunderstandings have been proposed.

King Lear

Dear my students in prep stage,

This is a video of “The Tragedy of King Lear“.

The story opens in ancient Britain, where the elderly King Lear is deciding to give up his power and divide his realm among his three daughters, Cordelia, Regan, and Goneril. Lear’s plan is to give the largest piece of his kingdom to the child who professes to love him the most.

Othello

Dear my prep students,

This is a video about “The Tragedy of Othello“, the Moor of Venice is a tragedy by William Shakespeare.

The work revolves around four central characters: “Othello”, a Moorish general in the Venetian army;” his new wife”, “Desdemona”; his lieutenant, “Cassio”; and his trusted ensign,Iago.

Othello is still often performed in professional and community theatres alike and has been the basis for numerous operatic, film and literary adaptations. 

Macbeth

Dear my prep stage,

This is a video of the play of ” Macbeth “.

Macbeth is a play written by William Shakespeare. It is considered one of his darkest and most powerful tragedies. Set in Scotland, the play dramatizes the corroding psychological and political effects produced when its protagonist, the Scottish lord Macbeth, chooses evil as the way to fulfill his ambition for power. 

Oliver Twist

Dear my prep students,

           You will study the story of ” Oliver Twist “ in English ( high level) this year.

          It’s about an orphan boy in 1830’s London is abused in a workhouse, then falls into the clutches of a gang of thieves.This story is written by” Charles Dickens”.

           I advise you to watch this video about this character and send me your comments and questions about the film.
